Biography

Debra has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for over eighteen years and worked in the field of Behavioral and Mental Health for seven years prior to licensure. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Social Relations from Earlham College, her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University and attended the Center for Group Studies for postgraduate training. She is a past board chair of the National Association of Social Workers, Indiana Chapter (NASW) and has her national accreditation through the Academy for Certified Social Workers (ACSW).

Debra currently dedicates herself to her private practice where she serves students, adults, and couples. In addition to her general practice, Debra specializes in Reproduction and Infertility Counseling. She is also bilingual and offers her services in Spanish.

Prior to launching her practice, Debra has had extensive experience working with diverse populations and staff groups in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health clinics, residential & detention facilities, wilderness therapy programming, and through several counseling and career planning programs at Indiana University.

When she is not seeing clients, Debra works on promoting greater awareness of issues related to reproduction and infertility. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, yoga, gardening, theater, concerts, and spending quality time with close friends and family.
